MCTV to Air Massillon-McKinley Game LIVE on Pay-Per-View

MCTV to Air Massillon-McKinley Game LIVE on Pay-Per-View

MASSILLON, Ohio (September 29, 2020) – MCTV is pleased to announce that the Saturday, October 3, Massillon vs. McKinley game will be available on TV to MCTV cable TV subscribers. The game will be aired live on MCTV’s pay-per-view channels for $10.

“We’re pleased to be able to offer the game as a pay-per-view event to give our customers another way to watch the game,” stated Katherine Gessner, president of MCTV. “The attendance restrictions in place due to COVID-19 have made it challenging for many Tiger fans to attend or see the games. Watching live from the comfort of your living room is the next best thing!”

“Once we heard that the game wouldn’t be aired live on TV from WHBC and WIVM, we approached the school about the pay-per-view option,” Gessner said. “Many fans have grown accustomed to the online streaming option this season but a lot of people don’t want to watch a game on their computer or don’t have Internet access. We wanted to make sure they were able to easily access the game too.”

Pay-per-view services are available on set-top boxes to the majority of MCTV TV subscribers. The game will be aired on channels 302, 309 or 310.

“Pay-per-view is accessible to customers that have specific set-top boxes on their TV sets. The easiest way to determine if you have access to pay-per-view is to check for these channels (302, 309 or 310) in your interactive program guide. These are labeled as ‘pay-per-view’ in the channel information,” said Gessner.

Customers will be able to pre-order the game beginning Thursday at noon by calling 330-833-4134. On Saturday morning, customers will be able to order directly from their remote control by navigating to the game on the program guide and following the prompts. The $10 charge will appear on the customer’s next invoice.

Customers should call 330-833-4134 if they experience issues or are unsure if their set-top box is capable of ordering pay-per-view. Set-top boxes are available from MCTV for a variety of prices. Customers are encouraged to order the event well in advance to avoid any congestion issues.

A recorded version of the game will air after the game throughout the weekend and next week on WHS-TV (Ch. 611/11) and WIVM (Ch. 128). Visit https://www.mctvohio.com/local-programming for times and channels.
