We are please to announce that an agreement was reached with AMC Networks and avoided a blackout of AMC and WE tv. Terms of the deal are still being finalized and cannot be disclosed.
"The new agreement includes a lower rate than AMC wanted originally," said Bob Gessner, president of MCTV. "This was a difficult negotiation but it helps to have our customers on our side during these talks. AMC used every means at their disposal, including threatening blackouts of their networks to extract higher fees. Our customers' patience and faith in us enabled us to successfully fight for the very best possible terms."
