March 21, 2023 - MCTV Update
Beginning on May 1, 2023, MCTV will no longer offer pay-per-view service.
December 8, 2022 - MCTV Channel Update
On January 1, 2023, Bounce will move from Ch. 150 to Ch. 17, replacing Court TV. This is a decision by the owner of the channel.
On January 16, 2023, the following HD channels will launch in Massillon/Wooster:
- Basic: OWN (Ch. 642) and Great American Family (Ch. 673)
- Basic Plus: Discovery Family (Ch. 721), American Heroes Channel (Ch. 731), Discovery Life (Ch. 743), Magnolia Network (Ch. 744) and Cooking Channel (Ch. 745)
On January 16. 2023, WQED PBS will air only on Ch. 11 in Bellaire.
September 19, 2022 - MCTV Channel Update
On November 1, 2022, WBNX will stop broadcasting DECADES on Ch. 168 in Massillon and Wooster. MCTV had no control over this decision.
September 15, 2022 - MCTV Channel Update
Effective November 1, 2022, MCTV will stop offering Playboy on channel 290. Due to declining subscription numbers of this service, MCTV will no longer offer it.
August 25, 2022 - MCTV Channel Update
Effective September 1st, MeTV will be replaced by Comet.

December 20, 2021 -- MCTV Channel Update
MCTV is currently in negotiation with Newsmax to continue to offer Newsmax on our lineup. We are attempting to reach a fair agreement, but they are demanding that we agree to unreasonable terms and rate increases that will directly impact our customers’ monthly bills. This agreement expires on Friday, January 21, 2022 so you are NOT risk of losing Newsmax prior to this date. We are working to complete a new agreement so that you do not experience an interruption in your service.
December 6, 2021 -- MCTV Channel Update
Massillon/Wooster
Effective January 1, the following changes will be made to your channel lineups:
- Ch. 92: Hillsong is re-branding to TBN Inspire on the Lifeline channel lineup.
- Ch. 118: The Happy Channel is changing to BUZZR Network on the Lifeline channel lineup. BUZZR is a pop culture time capsule of more than 40,000 iconic game show episodes, shown around the clock.
- Ch. 707, Ch. 107: NBC Sports Network is ceasing distribution on the Basic channel lineup. This is a decision made by NBCU. NBCSN content will move to USA Network, NBC broadcast stations or Peacock. Check your TV listings for specific times and events.
Effective January 5, the following channel changes will be made:
- Ch. 112: Telemundo Network will be added to the Lifeline lineup.
- Ch. 144: DIY Network is re-branding to Magnolia Network on the Basic Plus lineup.
Amsterdam/Bergholz/Salineville
Effective January 1, the following changes will be made to your channel lineups:
- Ch. 92: Hillsong is re-branding to TBN Inspire on the Lifeline channel lineup.
- Ch. 107: NBC Sports Network is ceasing distribution on the Basic channel lineup. This is a decision made by NBCU. NBCSN content will move to USA Network, NBC broadcast stations or Peacock. Check your TV listings for specific times and events.

Woodsfield
Effective January 1, the following changes will be made to the Woodsfield channel lineup:

September 1, 2021 -- MCTV Channel Update
Effective September 1, 2021, the ACC Network will launch as part of the Basic Plus cable TV lineup on the following channels:
- Ch. 712 – Massillon, Wooster, Salineville, Amsterdam, Bergholz
- Ch. 164 – Powhatan Point, Barton
The ACC Network brings you the best of Atlantic Coast Conference athletics including football, basketball, baseball, softball, women’s volleyball, men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s lacrosse, and women’s field hockey. July 31, 2021 -- MCTV Channel Update
Effective July 31, 2021, Fusion (Ch. 180), will be removed from the Basic Plus channel lineup in Massillon, Wooster, Salineville, Amsterdam/Bergholz. This was a decision made by the network.
June 30, 2021 -- MCTV Channel Update
Effective June 30, 2021, Newsy (Ch. 162/762), will be removed from the Basic channel lineup. This was a network decision.
May 13, 2021 -- MCTV Channel Update
Effective June 11, 2021, MCTV will no longer carry AMC Networks including AMC, WE tv, SundanceTV, IFC and BBC America. This change will decrease the MCTV monthly rate for Basic cable service by $2, effective July 1, in affected areas. April 21, 2021 -- MCTV Channel Update
We are currently in contract discussions with AMC Networks to continue to offer their networks to you, including AMC, WE tv, SundanceTV, IFC and BBC America. This agreement expires at midnight on May 1, 2021. You are NOT at risk of losing any of these networks prior to May 1st because AMC must contractually provide them through this date. We are actively engaged with AMC Networks to renew the agreement. We are working hard to give you the services you want at the best value possible.

July 7, 2020 -- MCTV FUSION Update
Effective August 3, 2020, YouTube results will no longer be supported in search results when using FUISION's universal search feature.
July 1, 2020 -- MCTV e-Statement Customer Update
Effective August 1, 2020, customers enrolled in MCTV e-Statement billing will no longer be sent late and/or non-payment notification via traditional mail. Beginning in August, all customers enrolled in e-Statement billing will receive these notifications by email that will be sent to the email address on file. WE WILL NO LONGER MAIL HARD COPIES OF LATE AND FINAL NOTICES.
July 1, 2020 -- HBO GO app Discontinued
Effective July 31, 2020, the HBO GO app will be discontinued and removed from all platforms. For the same content and more, you can now access HBO Max.
June 17, 2020 -- Updates to the MCTV Channel Lineup
Effective July 15, 2020, Showtime will make the following updates to their offerings. Showtime Showcase East and West (ch. 235 and 236) will become SHO x BET. This is a collaboration between Showtime and BET to focus on programming that celebrates and showcases Black culture including series, documentaries, movies, sports, exclusive comedy specials and more.
SHO Beyond (ch. 842 HD/242 SD) will become Showcase East. SHO Beyond will no longer exist. These changes affect Showtime subscribers across all MCTV systems. These decisions were made by Showtime. MCTV has no control over this change.
June 10, 2020 -- Updates to the MCTV Channel Lineup
Effective June 25, 2020, COMET will launch on channel 80 and CHARGE! will launch on channel 89 as part of the Lifeline lineup in Massillon and Wooster.
COMET (channel 80) is a channel dedicated to sci-fi entertainment offering popular favorites, cult classics, and undiscovered gems, every day.
CHARGE! (channel 89) is a channel featuring action programming including movies, series and sports entertainment. Watch action stars, every-day heroes and insane athletes engaged in battles, chases, showdowns and so much more.
April 8, 2020 -- Updates to the MCTV Channel Lineup
Effective immediately, ESPN Goal Line (Ch. 687) was removed from the Basic Essentials channel lineup.

Dear MCTV Customer,
As your local Internet, TV and Phone provider, MCTV’s top priority is the health and well-being of our employees and customers. We care about connecting our communities and as part of this mission, we want to keep you and our employees safe by monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and making necessary adjustments to our work and operations.
To do so, we are committed to following the latest guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and other public health agencies to help prevent the spread of illness.
We would like to assure you that we have already taken extra precautions in our business.
- We have placed additional emphasis on the importance of handwashing and the consistent use of hand sanitizer.
- We have increased our cleaning efforts and have hand sanitizer at MCTV payment locations.
- MCTV implemented a travel and large meeting policy to do what we can to help prevent the spread of the illness.
- MCTV employees are following CDC and physician recommendations to stay home when sick or after traveling to high-risk areas.
While many of our customer interactions do not require an in-office visit, we are aware many of our customers pay their invoices in person. If you don't feel well, or choose not to come to our office there are a number of additional payment methods:
- Pay online – Register your account at YourStatement.MCTVOhio.com. Follow the instructions to make a payment from your checking account. This is not a recurring payment.
- Pay by mail – Return your payment stub and payment in the enclosed envelope. Make your check or money order payable to MCTV. For your security, do not send cash through the mail.
- Pay by phone – Make a credit/debit card (Discover, VISA or Mastercard) or checking account payment with a customer service representative at your convenience by calling 330-833-4134.
Additionally, we are aware that some of our customers have scheduled in-home installations or repairs with our technicians. If you have any concerns, we are happy to reschedule your appointment at no additional cost. February 20, 2020 -- Updates to the MCTV Channel Lineup
Effective March 1, 2020, MHz Worlview (Ch. 85) will be replaced with FNX (First Nations Experience). This was a decision made by PBS Western Reserve (WNEO/WEAO), the distributor of this channel. MCTV has no control over this decision. To learn more about FNX, please visit pbswesternreserve.org. This change affects viewers in Massillon, Wooster, Salineville and Amsterdam/Bergholz.
January 15, 2020 -- Updates to the MCTV Channel Lineup
Effective January 16, 2020, CometTV (Ch. 129) will be replaced by LIGHT TV on the Lifeline channel lineup in Massillon and Wooster. LIGHT TV offers family-friendly movies, TV series and short-form content. MCTV had no control over this decision.
Effective January 27, 2020, JUCE TV (Ch. 95) will be renamed Positiv TV on the Lifeline channel lineup in Massillon, Wooster, Salineville and Amsterdam/Bergholz. Positiv TV is a movie channel, featuring family films and uplifting stories of courage and hope. This decision was made by TBN, the owner of JUCE TV and Positiv TV. MCTV had no control over this decision.
December 30, 2019 -- Updates to the MCTV Channel Lineup
On January 1, 2020, Circle network will launch on channel 175 as part of the Lifeline lineup in Massillon and Wooster.
Circle is a 360-degree media platform that will bring viewers into country music’s inner circle. The name is also a nod to the iconic wooden circle on the Grand Ole Opry stage where countless country music superstars have performed. Circle will feature original programming centered around artists and their music; hobbies; outdoor and offstage adventures; food; family; and friends. Circle will also offer entertainment news, documentaries and movies along with licensed programming and archival content. The lineup includes the return of a weekly broadcast of the Grand Ole Opry, the show that made country music famous. To learn more, visit www.CircleAllAccess.com.
December 23, 2019 -- Fox Networks Negotiations Update
MCTV is currently in negotiation with Fox Corporation to continue to offer the following cable networks including FOX News Channel, FOX Business, FS1 and FS2. We are attempting to reach a fair agreement with FOX, but they are demanding that we agree to unreasonable terms and rate increases that will directly impact our customers’ monthly bills. If we are unable to reach an agreement before Tuesday, December 31st at 11:59 PM, FOX may choose to pull their networks from our customers. We will work hard to avoid this and will continue to update you as the deadline gets closer.
1/2/20 Update -- We are pleased to announce that we have reached an agreement with FOX to continue to provide their programming on your lineup. There will be no disruption in service. Each year, the cost of delivering the programming our customers want to see increases substantially. We are tough negotiators on your behalf so that we can reach the best agreements with programmers. Our commitment has always been to give you the right combination of networks at the best value possible. We value you as a customer and appreciate your patience and support as we worked through our negotiations with FOX.
November 14, 2019 -- Updates to the MCTV Channel Lineup
Effective December 31, 2019, BET Soul (Ch. 174), MC Play (Ch.) 175 and mtvU (Ch. 178) will be removed from the Basic channel lineup. TheBlaze (Ch. 163/763) will be removed from the Basic Plus channel lineup.
April 18, 2019 -- Updates to the MCTV Channel Lineup
On May 8, 2019 Court TV will be added to the Lifeline TV lineup on Channel 114 in Massillon, Wooster, Salineville and Bergholz. Additionally, Escape (Ch. 80) will be removed from the Massillon/Wooster lineup.
April 5, 2019 -- Updates to the MCTV Channel Lineup (Bergholz)
On May 1, 2019 CW Plus will be added to the Lifeline TV lineup in Bergholz. CW Plus will be available on Channel 3.
February 6, 2019 -- Updates to the MCTV Channel Lineup
Effective February 28, 2019, Salsa (ch. 89, Massillon/Wooster, Salineville, Bergholz), owned by TBN, will cease broadcasting. This is a decision made by TBN. MCTV has no control over this change.
October 4, 2018 -- Updates to the MCTV Channel Lineup
Effective October 5, 2018, TBN will be available on channels 686 (HD) and 86 (SD). ION Life will now be broadcast by WDLI on channel 17 in Stark and Wayne Counties.
June 8, 2018 -- Updates to the MCTV Channel Lineup
Effective July 1, 2018, IFC and Sundance will be added to the Basic Plus lineup. IFC will be on channel 181 and Sundance on 182.
April 18, 2018 -- Updates to the MCTV Channel Lineup
Effective immediately, JUCE is now available on channel 95 as part of the Lifeline lineup. SMILE is still available on channel 94 as part of Lifeline.
Effective April 30, 2018, eScapes will be removed from the HD Essentials lineup. eScapes will stop delivering the channel to cable and satellite providers. Instead it will be available as a streaming channel on XUMO. MCTV had no control over this decision.
February 7, 2018 -- Updates to the MCTV Channel Lineup
On March 1, 2018, the following changes will be made to the Basic cable TV lineup:
- Hallmark Drama will be added on channels 757 (HD) and 157 (SD).
- Newsmax will move from channel 762 to channel 187.
- Newsy will be added on channels 762 (HD) and 162 (SD).
- RT Documentary (187), RT News HD (787), CCTV China (183) and CCTV Documentary (184) will be removed from the lineup.
December 1, 2017 -- Updates to the MCTV Channel Lineup
On January 1, 2018, Chiller (Ch. 157), owned by NBC Universal, and RLTV (Ch. 158), owned by Scripps Media will cease broadcasting and, therefore, will be removed from the MCTV lineup. These decisions were made by the owners of these networks. MCTV has no control over this. Both networks are part of the Basic Plus package.
November 21, 2017 -- Updates to the MCTV Channel Lineup
On January 1, 2018, WeTV (Ch. 154) and BBC America (Ch. 748/148) will migrate from the Basic Plus lineup to the Basic lineup.
June 21, 2017 -- Updates to the MCTV Channel Lineup
Esquire Network (Ch. 742/142) and Universal HD (Ch. 696) will cease broadcasting on Friday, June 30, 2017. This decision was made by NBC Universal, the distributor of these networks. MCTV has no control over this decision. Esquire Network is part of the Basic Plus lineup and Universal HD is part of the HD Essentials lineup.
Also effective June 30, 2017, Smithsonian Channel HD (Ch. 694) will be removed from the HD Essentials lineup.
March 2, 2017 -- Updates to the MCTV Channel Lineup
V'me (Ch. 95) will cease broadcasting on Friday, March 31, 2017. The decision to stop distribution was made by V'me's distributor, Western Reserve Public Media (WNEO/WEAO). MCTV has no control over this decision.
February 15, 2017 -- Updates to the MCTV Channel Lineup
Effective April 1, 2017, REELZ (Ch. 98) will be removed from the Basic TV lineup. Fox Business Network, Ch. 761/161, will migrate from the Basic Plus lineup to the Basic lineup.
