A TV network doesn't necessarily own all of the rights to all of the programs they transmit. A TV network may have the right to transmit a movie, but only to TV sets, not on watchTVeverywhere. So, once again, it depends on the TV network.
Your watchTVeverywhere username and password are used to log in to any network that allows access by MCTV subscribers.
It is important that you keep your username and password confidential. Use of your credentials by others will result in loss of watchTVeverywhere privileges.
There are several ways to enjoy content:
Once you are registered, you can watch any watchTVeverywhere program as long as you are a subscriber to that network. For example, you must be an A&E subscriber to view A&E's content.
The device(s) you can use to access content varies by the network. Most, but not all, networks have apps for Apple and Android devices and are accessible from computers. Some also allow you to watch on other devices like an Xbox or Roku device. For a complete list of ways to watch, visit us here. You can also visit the App Store for your device and search for apps by the network’s name.
There is no limit to the number of devices you can use. However, TV networks may limit the number you can use at the same time.
It might. Check your data plan before you start watching watchTVeverywhere on a smart phone or wireless network. watchTVeverywhere programs transmit a lot of data. That can become expensive if you have a limited data plan. We have no way of knowing when you have exceeded your data plan. You are responsible for all of the charges made by your mobile carrier.
Not necessarily. MCTV is an all-digital cable system so on older TVs you will need a set-top box to view channels. We offer several styles of set-top boxes to enhance your TV viewing. MCTV will provide up to three MiniMax converters to you at no charge.
With many newer TVs you are able to access channels on our Lifeline and Basic TV lineups without the use of a set-top box. If your TV has a QAM tuner, you are able to do this. Many newer TV sets purchased after 2006 have a QAM tuner. The easiest way to tell if you TV has a QAM tuner is to look on the TV’s remote control for a button with a dash (-) or dot (.). If it has this, it has a QAM tuner.
Not all channels are available with a QAM tuner. To see what is available, view our QAM tuner channel lineup.
Most HD channels, the Basic Plus and HD Essentials packages, Premium channels and sports packages require the use of a set-top box to receive. You will also not have access to an on-screen guide, parental control or On Demand or pay-per-view.
Yes, more than 100 channels are available in HD from MCTV. To see what HD channels are available with your package, view our channel lineup.
With a QAM tuner, you can view SD and HD channels on the Lifeline lineup and SD channels on the Basic lineup. You will also have to learn a new lineup and may have to periodically perform a re-scan to pick up new channels or find channels when they are realigned.
A set-top box allows you to:
Many times buttons will not work on your remote when it has been taken out of CABLE mode. To return the remote to CABLE mode, push the MODE button quickly followed by the CBL button.
If this does not correct the problem, please call us at 330-833-4134/330-345-8114.
