Why aren't all programs available on watchTVeverywhere?

A TV network doesn't necessarily own all of the rights to all of the programs they transmit. A TV network may have the right to transmit a movie, but only to TV sets, not on watchTVeverywhere. So, once again, it depends on the TV network.

Will other networks become available?

Yes. We are working with many different program providers to expand the number of networks and the number of programs available on watchTVeverywhere. To see the most up-to-date list of available networks, click here or visit watchTVeverywhere.com.

How do I register for watchTVeverywhere?

  1. Go to watchTVeverywhere.com
  2. Select MCTV from the drop-down menu
  3. Click REGISTER and complete the form
  4. You will be asked to provide the following information
    1. MCTV account number
    2. Correct spelling of the last name on your account
    3. Email address (this must be a valid email address)
  5. Click SUBMIT
  6. You will receive an activation email at the email address you provided.
  7. Click the link to complete the registration process.

Your watchTVeverywhere username and password are used to log in to any network that allows access by MCTV subscribers.

It is important that you keep your username and password confidential. Use of your credentials by others will result in loss of watchTVeverywhere privileges.

How do I use watchTVeverywhere?

There are several ways to enjoy content:

  1. From watchTVeverywhere.com: simply log in and select the network you would like to visit.
  2. From MCTVOhio.com: select the network you’d like to watch and log in using your watchTVeverywhere username and password.
  3. Directly from the network’s website or app: go directly to the website or app of the network you’d like to watch. Log in using your watchTVeverywhere username and password.

Which watchTVeverywhere programs can I watch?

Once you are registered, you can watch any watchTVeverywhere program as long as you are a subscriber to that network. For example, you must be an A&E subscriber to view A&E's content.

Which devices can I use for watchTVeverywhere?

The device(s) you can use to access content varies by the network. Most, but not all, networks have apps for Apple and Android devices and are accessible from computers. Some also allow you to watch on other devices like an Xbox or Roku device. For a complete list of ways to watch, visit us here. You can also visit the App Store for your device and search for apps by the network’s name.

How many different devices can I use?

There is no limit to the number of devices you can use. However, TV networks may limit the number you can use at the same time.

Does watching watchTVeverywhere count against my mobile data plan?

It might. Check your data plan before you start watching watchTVeverywhere on a smart phone or wireless network. watchTVeverywhere programs transmit a lot of data. That can become expensive if you have a limited data plan. We have no way of knowing when you have exceeded your data plan. You are responsible for all of the charges made by your mobile carrier.

Do I need to have a set-top box on all my TVs?

Not necessarily. MCTV is an all-digital cable system so on older TVs you will need a set-top box to view channels. We offer several styles of set-top boxes to enhance your TV viewing. MCTV will provide up to three MiniMax converters to you at no charge.

With many newer TVs you are able to access channels on our Lifeline and Basic TV lineups without the use of a set-top box. If your TV has a QAM tuner, you are able to do this. Many newer TV sets purchased after 2006 have a QAM tuner. The easiest way to tell if you TV has a QAM tuner is to look on the TV’s remote control for a button with a dash (-) or dot (.). If it has this, it has a QAM tuner.

Not all channels are available with a QAM tuner. To see what is available, view our QAM tuner channel lineup.

Most HD channels, the Basic Plus and HD Essentials packages, Premium channels and sports packages require the use of a set-top box to receive. You will also not have access to an on-screen guide, parental control or On Demand or pay-per-view.

Do you offer high definition (HD) channels?

Yes, more than 100 channels are available in HD from MCTV. To see what HD channels are available with your package, view our channel lineup.

What are the benefits of a set-top box over using my TV's built-in QAM tuner?

With a QAM tuner, you can view SD and HD channels on the Lifeline lineup and SD channels on the Basic lineup. You will also have to learn a new lineup and may have to periodically perform a re-scan to pick up new channels or find channels when they are realigned.

A set-top box allows you to:

  • View all channels and packages. With an HD set-top box, you can receive all HD channels included in your cable TV package.
  • Add Basic Plus or HD Essentials, sports packages and premium channels.
  • Have access to On Demand content including movies, TV shows, events and more. There is a charge for some On Demand content but there is also plenty of free content.
  • Purchase pay-per-view events and specials.
  • Take advantage of parental controls and the on-screen program guide. The on-screen program guide will show you what’s currently on and information for shows up to two weeks in advance (depends on the set-top box model).
  • DVR boxes are available to allow you to pause and rewind live TV and record you favorite TV series with the click of a button.

Why aren't the buttons working on my Synergy V remote control?

Many times buttons will not work on your remote when it has been taken out of CABLE mode. To return the remote to CABLE mode, push the MODE button quickly followed by the CBL button.

If this does not correct the problem, please call us at 330-833-4134/330-345-8114.

How do I program my remote control?

Our technicians will program your remote control when we install set-top boxes in your house. If you need to reprogram a remote control, refer to the instructions below.
