With our Parental Controls, we make it easy for you to decide what your family watches to ensure that you have control over their TV viewing. Parental Controls are available with our Basic Plus Service.

How to use Parental Controls:

STEP 1
To use the Parental Control feature, use your cable remote control and press MENU. This will show the main menu picture that will appear on your television screen. If you do not have a MENU button on your remote control unit, press ALT.

STEP 2
Press the arrow buttons up or down on your remote to highlight PARENTAL CONTROL. Press the SELECT button on your remote, and you will see the Parental Control screen.

STEP 3A
If you are a first-time user, you will need an access code. A window will pop up to enter an initial PIN. Press to set PIN.

STEP 3B
Now choose a four-digit secret numerical code number of your choice (an example would be 1 2 3 4) and type it in.

STEP 3C
You will need to enter your secret code one more time to VERIFY NEW CODE. A window will pop up to enter an initial PIN. Press to set PIN.

STEP 4
Once you are at the PARENTAL CHANNELS screen, move the pointer to highlight LOCK CHANNELS and press SELECT. You are now ready to add the channels for Parental Control.

STEP 5
Select the channels for which you would like to control the viewing. When you have entered all of the channels you want to control, press ARROW LEFT to return to LOCK CHANNELS.

You may change your code as often as you like; however, if you forget your control code, you will have to call our Customer Service department at 330.833.4134 for assistance in reprogramming your converter.

ADDING AND DELETING CONTROLLED CHANNELS:
You can prevent viewing by channel number, rating, time and title. There is no limit on the number of channels that you can place under Parental Control.

STEP 6
Hit the ARROW UP button 2 times to LOCKING then hit ARROW RIGHT. Select ON.

STEP 7
Press EXIT to return to your show.

Once you have placed a channel under Parental Control, no one can tune to it without entering the control code. You can add or remove channels from the list at any time.
